Home Building Solutions

Most House designers or Architects can offer the client a selection of home building solutions which can cover the external design, internal layouts, methods of construction and materials selection.  Home building solutions can also cover the services for heating, water supplies and smart home control systems for example.

Each home building solution offered or selected will have a cost implication that the client must considered carefully.  Complicated designs for an interesting external design of proposal can add significantly to the cost.  The same applies for implementing much of the energy saving methods and devices available for today's homes where their forecasted pay back period can be decades where it could even become a redundant or outdated piece of unserviceable equipment.

Any home building solution for what ever options are available needs to be considered carefully.  Many so called contemporary design solutions end up becoming quickly outdated or were completely useless - remember the rush for the home wind turbine.

Many practical cost effective home building solutions have been known about for years such as high levels of insulation, use of vapour barriers and proper control of the air exchanges. So if you can get the basics right the peripheral tinkering at the margins of what is possibly an unsustainable and costly fashion bolt on can be avoided.
