Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Partnering agreements

We are registered with the LABC Partner Authority Scheme, our chosen Local Authority being Wycombe District Council.

This means that when we are submitting a Building Regulations Application it does not matter which Local Authority the project falls under, it can, if we choose, be checked by our partnering Local Authority.

The benefits of being in partnership with WDC means that we get a consistent interpretation of the Building Regulations, a single point of contact and fewer queries.

In addition to the above, WDC also have a fast track system for domestic extensions which means they can turn around a Building Regulation Submission within a week or two from receipt.

Once the building work is on site, it will be inspected by the Local Authority which the building falls under and not the partnering Authority, but if the Building Inspector from that Authority disagrees with anything approved he/she still has to accept the partnering Authority’s decision.
