Aico CO alarm with wire free interconnection4 October 2011 Aico’s Ei262 is a unique mains powered Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm incorporating Aico’s proven RadioLINK Professional wireless interconnection. RadioLINK Professional was developed for use with Aico domestic fire alarms, allowing devices to communicate with each other via RF signals, rather than hard wiring, which is time consuming and disruptive to retro fit. This same remarkable technology is now available in Aico’s Ei262 CO alarm, allowing CO alarms to communicate with each other as well as with Aico RadioLINK Professional fire alarms on the system. When the CO alarm detects dangerous levels of CO, all the alarms interconnected on the system will sound, providing warning throughout the property. Since it is important to differentiate between a fire and a CO leak once the alarm has been raised, Aico also offers a wireless wall-mounted Alarm Control Switch to allow residents to locate the exact alarm which has registered the fire or CO leak and take appropriate action. The Switch can also be used to test and hush all the alarms on the system. The new CO alarm comes with rechargeable Lithium Cell back-up and a cost-saving replaceable CO sensor design.
